Hey Girlfriend
How often do you feel like you can’t go somewhere alone? Or you need to see a girlfriend/boyfriend/friend to feel better?
GF, we have all been there, but you have got to stop letting your happiness be in other people’s hands.
Last month I released an episode with Conagh Kathleen about how to be your own best friend, and the response was insanely positive!
So, I wanted to write a little love note to you all and act as a reminder to you all to fall in love with yourself and be your own damn best friend.
I also had a lady reach out to me who was scared of her new partner cheating on her because she’d been hurt in the past.
My advice to her was, be your own best friend first and then you won’t put so much of your happiness into another person.
Remember:
Life is too short to miss moments because you were too scared of going alone.
Life is too short to be with someone who doesn’t set your soul on fire, just so you don’t have to be alone.
Life is too short to put up with shitty people, just so you have someone to be around.
Life is too short to put your happiness in other people's hands, just so it’s not in your own.
You are worthy of all you desire, you are worthy of calling your soul sisters and soul mates into your life, you are an independent queen and going to things alone shows strength.
I know there are a lot of people out there searching for their soulmate and trying to find their person.
But before you can be truly happy with anyone else, you need to be happy within yourself first.
You can’t rely on your partner to create your happiness, they need to make your life EVEN happier, rather than them making your life happy.
No matter where you are in life, you need to take your happiness in your own hands.
Whether you are single, with someone, married or wanting to leave a relationship, always remember that you are in control of your life, you are in control of your happiness and you can and will be happy no matter what you do from here. But let your happiness be up to you!
“Georgie that is all well and good to say, but how and where do I even start?”
Start small.
Start with daily affirmations, reminding yourself of the boss bitch you are.
Start with walks by yourself, or going to the movies by yourself, or taking yourself out for dinner.
Look within when you feel down and rely on yourself to pick yourself back up.
Start with more nights to yourself and being okay in your own company.
The more you become comfortable with your own company, the easier it becomes.
Try setting yourself small and achievable goals, try these journal prompts at the start of the week…
- My affirmation for the week is…
- This week I will go by myself to…
- This week I will be my own best friend by…
- Last week I was happy because..
- 3 things I love about myself are…
Each week just remind yourself how amazing and incredible you are.
Love always
